Ms. Deckard works for The Center in a consultancy capacity as Director of Strategic Projects. She is working on supporting a new Global Health and Safety initiative with Kaiser Permanente which will result in an open source website and database holding organizational design specifications correlated to outcomes and research.

Before becoming a consultant, Ms. Deckard worked for Kaiser Permanente for 32 years in a variety of leadership roles. Her most recent position was Vice President, Implementation/Optimization for the national KP Health Connect project. She was a key leader in implementing one of the largest and most complex technical installations of software in the healthcare industry.

Prior to that, Ms. Deckard was Vice President of Strategy and Innovation and Director of Health Care Operations in the Georgia region, where she was instrumental in the redesign of the primary care delivery system. She also worked in the Colorado region in varied operational roles and was responsible for managing several outpatient medical offices.

Ms. Deckard holds her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing, and her Masters degree in Public and Health Administration.
