Mr. Franey works for The Center in a consultancy capacity on Resource Development and is responsible for proposing and implementing strategies to expand CHD's donor base.
Franey is the co-founder and former President and CEO of Wellness Environments Inc., Nashville Tennessee. Wellness Environments Inc. designs, manufactures and installs products used to construct evidence-based clinical spaces for healthcare facility renovation or new construction. He is also Chairman of the CHD CHER Research Committee.
Franey has domestic and international business development experience in startup companies as well as units of Fortune 500 corporations with a background that includes senior leadership, finance, operations, product development, and manufacturing, distribution, marketing and sales.
Prior to co-founding Wellness Environments Inc., Mr. Franey served as the President and Chief Operating Officer of Herman Miller for Healthcare, a wholly owned subsidiary of Herman Miller Inc., specializing in modular equipment and systems furniture for health care facilities. He has also held senior management positions with McKesson Corporation in San Francisco, and American Hospital Supply Corporation in Chicago.
