Discovery Award

Years in Existence: Since 2005.

Purpose: To recognize recognize those companies that are leaders in experience design and offer the best examples of how to implement experiential design for others to follow.

Criteria: Entrants will be judged in these five key areas:

  1. Harnessing the power of an operational theme.
  2. Personalizing the experience for each customer.
  3. Designing on-stage and off-stage areas for employees.
  4. Casting and rehearsing the "actors" (employees).
  5. Instilling the company way through inspiration.

Who Can Enter: Healthcare providers.

Awards: The winner is announced at the annual HEALTHCARE DESIGN conference in the fall. In addition to an award trophy, the receipient receives a Possibilities Membership (value $50,000) with Starizon to help take their organization to the next level.

Sponsors: HEALTHCARE DESIGN Magazine, Starizon, and The Center for Health Design.

Deadline for Entry: Fall 2007, TBA. 

Entry Criteria and Rules: Provide an essay outlining your company's work, techniques, and progress in the five key areas outlined above. Include any pertinent videos, pictures and other support materials.  Send to:
