This year, Samueli Institute celebrates its first decade of exploring the science of healing. The organization, which started out as a small two-person, grant-making non-profit in 2001, has grown into the premier non-profit organization that researches and investigates the world of healing and wellness – including complementary, alternative and integrative health care and the ways in which it can transform the health care industry as we know it.
On October 4-5, 2011, Samueli Institute launches its next decade of exploration with a two-day symposium entitled, Celebrating in 2011, Envisioning 2021: Creating the Future of Healing – where The Center for Health Design's President and CEO, Debra Levin, will participate as the keynote speaker. During the symposium, prominent thought leaders will be asked to imagine it is the year 2021 and guide us through the last ten years, since 2011.
