D01 - Coaching Workshop, Practical Application of Evidence-Based Design

8:30 am - 2:30 pm

Do you wonder what evidence-based design (EBD) is and why it’s important? Or are you EDAC-certified and planning or designing a project? If so, we invite you to attend this in-depth workshop to work with industry experts. This session is designed to bring EBD concepts into practice, offering an introduction to EBD as well as personal consultation about how to integrate the EBD process into your project(s).

Healthcare organizations today are faced with increased transparency surrounding patient safety and quality issues, declining reimbursement, the shift from volume to value and the need to bend the cost curve as provisions from the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act take effect.  Learn more about these issues and how the built environment can bring solutions to address them. Explore the value of setting goals, using research to find information and build the business case for change. This uniquely interactive day of consultation will prepare you to be a better client or partner by providing you with the knowledge and tools you need to begin to address the challenges facing healthcare.

This opportunity offers exclusive access to industry experts who possess extensive EBD knowledge and real-world experience. They’ll sit down with you to share their perspectives and answer your specific questions—whether you are an EBD novice or EDAC-certified individual.

Once you register for this workshop, The Center for Health Design will contact you to complete a questionnaire prior to attending this session. This information will be used to match you with a coach and group of colleagues. Each attendee receives a bundle of EBD books and resources from The Center for Health Design ($200 retail value).

Registration is $350/person with a 20% discount for EDAC Champion and Advocate firms. Space is limited to 60 participants on a first come first serve basis.

Participants are invited to attend the EDAC Examination Prep Workshop, which follows this program at 3:15 pm (no additional fee).
