Hammes Company was engaged by St. Joseph Medical Center to provide project management and planning services for the development of the first new hospital in over 140 years in Berks County, Pennsylvania. The 375,000 square foot hospital sits on a 40-acre site.
The new St. Joseph Medical Center, an affiliate of Catholic Health Initiatives, is a hospital equipped with the latest health and information technology that allows the medical and clinical staff to improve and transform delivery of health care both now and in the future. Smaller nurses' stations located closer to patient rooms and computerized medication systems help staff efficiency and operations.
