Your firm's role on the project: KI was the furniture manufacturer that worked in conjunction with interior design firm Francis Cauffman to complete the facility's interior design with stylish, functional furniture.
Number of beds: 150
Project vision/goals: Today's facilities are being thoughtfully designed with interiors that are comforting, nurturing and even residential in look and feel. That was the goal of the AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center's new seven-story patient tower, the George F. Lynn Harmony Pavilion.
Interior design firm Francis Cauffman was challenged with creating an environment that was friendly and inviting to patients, family and visitors, yet still permitted the hospital staff to treat patients effectively. The firm chose KI's Soltice Collection to be used throughout the facility's common areas and patient rooms.
Because Soltice offers a complete family of products, it allowed the interior designers to create a sense of continuity. The look of lounges and visitor areas is continued in patient rooms, creating a sense of comfort and familiarity that can aid the healing process for family, as well as patients.
Additional details: KI provided additional assistance by customizing the Soltice products to meet the needs of the facility. By redesigning certain aspects of some products, KI was able to help Francis Cauffman meet the design, safety and practical needs of the facility.
