EDAC

Evidence-Based Design Accreditation and Certification

Volunteers

The Center for Health Design is extremely fortunate to have numerous volunteers participating in the EDAC program. At the EDAC program launch in 2005 over 100 people signed on to give their time to this innovative program. Since then, these volunteers, led by Alberto Salvatore, AIA, NCARB, have contributed to major EDAC milestones, including the creation of the base knowledge necessary for the program's foundation.

Exam Development

Led by a professional pscyhometrician with Applied Measurement Professionals, Inc. (AMP), a group of core volunteers have created a detailed content outline (DCO), which lists items neccessary for an Evidence-Based Design Practitioner to know. The DCO will help the group finalize the test items.

The following volunteers have been vital to the development of the DCO:

Rosalyn Cama, FASID (CAMA Incorporated)

Rachel Ginsberg (Anshen+Allen Architects)

Kirk Hamilton, FIA, FACHA (Texas A&M University)

Julie Kent (Spectrum Strategies)

Upali Nanda, Ph.D. (American Art Resources)

Charisse Oland (Oland Consulting)

Alberto Salvatore, AIA, NCARB (Salvatore Associates)

Jaynelle Stichler, DNSc, RN, FACHE (San Diego State University)

Peter Sharpe (Irwin P. Sharpe & Associates)

For more information on EDAC or to volunteer, contact Carolyn Quist, EDAC Project Manager. View a complete list with biographies of our volunteers.

Advisory Council

The Center for Health Design Advisory Council, led by volunteer Julie Kent, will be responsible for overseeing the development of the building certification program and monitor the program post launch. The Advisory Council will consist of thought leaders in the industry. If you are interested in serving on this Council, please contact Carolyn Quist.
