Since 1993, The Center for Health Design has been actively engaged in initiating research to promote the use of evidence-based design to create healing environments in hospitals, clinics, physician offices, nursing homes, and other healthcare facilities.
Our current major research initiative is the Pebble Project®, a partnership with more than 36 providers nationwide whose goal is to provide documented examples of how using evidence-based design has improved the institution's quality of care and financial performance.
We've also published six research reports and produced a "Healthcare Design Action Kit" -- an environmental assessment tool.
