Bassett Healthcare is expanding and modernizing its acute care facilities, focusing on patient safety and healing environments.  Phase 2 of its master plan includes replacement of 108 medical/surgical beds in a new building that includes patient and family support and educational space, space for medical education to support the continuing physician education programs on campus, and staff support space. 

Total project cost is expected to be $120-$140 million with a targeted completion date in late 2009 early 2010.  No architectural/design firm has been selected yet.
