The project includes a 60-bed setting dedicated to intensive, state-of-the art rehabilitation services, a five-bed setting dedicated to the unique service needs of a non-geriatric population a 15-bed “greenhouse” for older adults requiring heavy care, a 45-bed setting dedicated to person-centered dementia care, and three 15-bed “greenhouses” in an urban, vertical layout.
The $56 million project is expected to be completed in January 2007. Perkins Eastman Architects is the design firm. Research will focus on employee turnover, outcomes, length of stay, cost per unit of service, patient satisfaction, violence against staff, and safety.
