RESEARCH UPDATE Environmental Correlates of Falls: Implications for Design of Healthcare Environments is currently under production. Look for the final report on our website this Spring. In this research report, Gowri Betrabet Gulwadi, Ph.D. and Magaret Calkins, Ph.D. explore spatial organizations, interior characteristics, sensory attributes and the use of the environment to understand how these factors influence likelihood of patient falls. STATE ARCHITECT GROUP RECOGNIZES DEREK PARKER, FAIA, WITH DISTINGUISHED PRACTICE AWARD The American Institute of Architects, California Council (AIACC) announced CHD Board Member Derek Parker, FAIA, as the 2008 recipient of the Distinguished Practice Award.
