Company description/mission:
Since its founding as Fuller Dyal & Stamper more than 20 years ago, fd2s has engaged in unprecedented research and analysis covering the use and administration of healthcare wayfinding systems, and has used this knowledge in the creation of an integrated wayfinding approach that responds effectively to the needs of system users and institution staff.
The firm currently employs more than 30 researchers, designers, writers, technologists, usability experts, architects, and project managers that provide a complete range of research, planning, and implementation services to help hospitals solve complex wayfinding challenges.
Our Integrated Wayfinding Solutions look at every potential touchpoint as an opportunity to deliver consistent, relevant wayfinding information to the user. These touchpoints include wayfinding signage, but extend beyond signage to include architectural elements, printed materials, human interactions, and electronic wayfinding tools.
Our clients include world-class organizations such as the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center and Texas Children's Hospital in Houston, Duke University Medical Center, the University of Kansas Hospital in Kansas City, the University of Colorado Hospital in Denver, and UMASS Memorial Medical Center. These institutions tell us that our innovative approach to wayfinding has really changed the way they think about directing patients and visitors to and through their facilities, and also how they deal with the management and maintenance of their wayfinding assets.
