From 1988-1997, presentations at the annual Symposium on Healthcare Design produced by The Center for Health Design were taped, transcribed, edited, and published as the Journal of Healthcare Design.

This pioneering conference brought the healthcare and design industry together, introducing -- for the first time to many -- concepts such as psychoneuroimmunology, patient-centered design, healing environments, evidence-based design, Feng Shui, and more. It's all documented in the Journal of Healthcare Design - a reference that should be in every healthcare designer's library.
