Marketing Projects Manager, Concord, CA


For over 25 years The Center for Health Design – through research, education and advocacy – has been helping to improve the health, safety and satisfaction of patients, their families and caregivers. Today over 30,000 healthcare providers, architects, designers, product manufacturers, clinicians, educators and students reference our work, use our tools, employ our strategies and tap our experts as they endeavor to improve healthcare through the design of the built environment.

We’re looking for a highly organized, meticulous, deadline driven marketing projects maven to support our vast offering of educational, certification, member development, conference/event and awards programs with timely, efficiently-produced and quality-executed marketing tactics consistent with the stated strategy and creative direction.

You’re skilled and experienced handling multiple projects start-to-finish in a fast-paced working environment with tight deadlines, regularly shifting priorities and unexpected, last-minute requests.  You’re comfortable and effective in following up and ensuring team members complete their assigned tasks on time. And, you’re confident and able to contribute thoughtful ideas and constructive criticism that improve the quality and effectiveness of our marketing communications and campaigns.

Roles & Responsibilities

Your primary role is the timely and effective management of marketing projects which includes:
  • Identifying, collecting and clarifying project requirements in collaboration with project managers, other internal staff, or external partners and customers
  • Determining project scope (deliverables)
  • Preparing internal time/cost estimates
  • Creating and maintaining/updating project plans (timeline, resource requirements, budget, approval process)
Managing project execution and reporting on progress, including:
  • Creative services project management using PM application
  • Content editing, proofreading and testing/quality control of digital content
  • CMS production (web content pages, emails, webforms, store)
  • Email campaign execution (newsletters, product/event promotion)
  • Physical and virtual event production/management/support
  • PR and social media execution
  • Vendor selection/management; Media placements
  • Marketing asset management
  • Data metrics collection/analytics/KPI reporting
In addition, depending upon your skills and experience, your responsibilities may also include:
  • Content creation – technical and/or creative copywriting
  • PR and social media creation
  • Creative design and production (print, digital, video)
  • Technical/Application Proficiencies
To be successful in this role you should have skill and working proficiency with these specific or similar types of applications (meaning you use them regularly in your work):
  • CMS for website content creation and updates
  • Email marketing platform
  • CRM for email list creation
  • Webinar/meeting platform (Zoom)
  • Google or other web/marketing analytics
  • Social media platforms (LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, Facebook)
  • MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Adobe Acrobat
In addition, you should have some familiarity or experience with these types of applications:
  • Creative services or general project management app (Asana or other)
  • Social media campaign management app (Hootsuite or other)
  • Vimeo / YouTube or video hosting app
  • SurveyMonkey or other survey app
And experience with these types of applications would be helpful but not necessary:
  • Adobe inDesign, Illustrator
  • Basic Video Editing App
  • Basic HTML/PHP
Other Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of experience in a busy corporate marketing department or creative services agency
  • Non-profit and healthcare industry experience helpful
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field of study
This is a full time, exempt position in our Concord, California office.

Salary range is $60-$75k annually.
