Why we are an EDAC Advocate:

Early on Barbara J. Huelat, AAHID, EDAC, FASID, IIDA recognized the importance of Evidence-Based Design as a founding board member of the Center for Healthcare Design. Today Huelat Davis is one of thirty-three companies in the nation with the unique qualification of being an “Advocate Firm” having achieved at least twenty percent of our design professionals with Evidence-Based Design Accreditation Certification (EDAC). This means we work hard to incorporate all relevant, proven evidence-based design innovations such that they will optimize workforce safety, the quality of patron experience and overall employee satisfaction and productivity, while ultimately creating better experiences for everyone.

“By linking the care people get to the outcomes they experience, evidence-based research has become the key to developing better ways to enhance the healthcare work environment and improve the quality of care. Our affiliation with The Center for Health Design as an EDAC Advocate Firm further demonstrates our commitment to the principals of EBD and strengthens our connection to the CHD jointly working at the forefront of research being conducted to improve the patient experience.”
