Join us for “Innovations in Healthcare Design” — your chance to catch up on the latest industry buzz, connect with colleagues in a casual setting over wine and hors d’oeuvres, and still get home in time for your favorite show.

Jane Rohde champions a widespread global cultural shift toward de‐institutionalized senior living facilities through her consulting, research and advocacy, which provides services to non‐profit and for-profit developers, government agencies, and senior living and care providers. She also provides education to providers, regulators, and peers on senior living trends, programming and design that support and improve the lives of elders.
Jane will be presenting: 

“Beyond Aging in Place: Opportunities and Innovative Solutions in Universal Design”
A vast majority of the design community embraces Universal Design as a concept – especially those in the health and wellness sector, but true universal design implementation is challenging. What does universal design look like in practice? How can we move beyond the treatment of universal design as a compartmentalized approach to design for aging and accessibility? This presentation includes a shift of mindset and approach to using principles of universal design in not only the built environment, but also as part of the care model.
