Architects and designers rarely study project finance, and fewer still are fluent in the complexities of healthcare finance.  When healthcare clients mention EBDIT, the design community typically responds, “Hey Siri…”

This first webinar of a four-part series will close the knowledge gap and help architects and designers develop basic fluency in healthcare finance. This session will also help attendees understand how finance principles are applied through group interaction and active problem-solving.

Future sessions will highlight how basic knowledge and the right financial metrics can help win future projects, the financial impact of measuring efficiencies, and the importance of continuing diligence through project delivery.

Learning Objectives

  • Identify the basic financial terms and ratios that healthcare finance teams use to evaluate projects.
  • Understand how healthcare projects are financed, and identify select nontraditional funding approaches.
  • Examine persistent healthcare systems conditions that compete for limited capital.
  • Develop and use specific criteria to evaluate project viability.
