Architects and designers rarely study project finance, and fewer still are fluent in the complexities of healthcare finance. When healthcare clients mention EBDIT, the design community typically responds, “Hey Siri…”
This first webinar of a four-part series will close the knowledge gap and help architects and designers develop basic fluency in healthcare finance. This session will also help attendees understand how finance principles are applied through group interaction and active problem-solving.
Future sessions will highlight how basic knowledge and the right financial metrics can help win future projects, the financial impact of measuring efficiencies, and the importance of continuing diligence through project delivery.

Bill Hercules inspires healthcare leadership teams, by shaping their future places of care. After leading successful architectural practices, Bill founded WJH Health, a global consultancy which resolves the nexus of mission, health, performance, and experience for future-oriented healthcare facilities. He is the only practicing global triple-Fellow in the American Institute of Architects (AIA), the American College of Healthcare Architects (ACHA), and the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE).
He was the 2018 President of the ACHA, the national certification body for the practice of healthcare architecture, is also regular faculty and active within the ACHE, and led inter-organizational initiatives between various national healthcare professional organizations. He was recently elected to the AIA’s National Strategic Council, served on the AIA COVID Rapid Response Taskforce – work which was subsequently translated and promulgated globally by the U.S. State Department, and also recently served on the Facility Guidelines Institute taskforce for Hospital Surge Capacity Considerations.

Many attendees of The Center for Health Design’s webinars have inquired about IDCEC approval so they can earn ASID, IIDA, and IDS CEU’s. We have looked into this and unfortunately, the cost to upload courses to IDCEC is simply too high at this time. You can still earn credit for attending our webinars by requesting a verification certificate. As of July 9, 2020, The Center for Health Design requires a CEU management fee for verification certificates for all webinars and EBD Journal Clubs.
