As inpatient behavioral health treatment and care models continue to evolve, so too should the environment in which care is delivered. With a heightened focus on patient dignity, staff safety, and improved technology, now is the time to re-think the future of the behavioral health care team station.

This interactive webinar will share the interdisciplinary perspectives, knowledge, and expertise of both presenters and attendees to evaluate cutting-edge design solutions, help attendees develop solutions of their own, and inspire further research to transform the future of inpatient behavioral health care team stations.

Stephanie Vito, AIA, Architect, Associate Vice President, CannonDesign

Stephanie Vito has built her career expertise in behavioral healthcare design, particularly using design excellence as a tool for lifting the lives of those in need of specialized care. Stephanie practices at the national level, and her dedication to forward-thinking solutions will ultimately propel her to become a visionary in the field. Her goals begin at the human level, seeking to eliminate stigmas that surround behavioral health by pushing society’s preconceptions through design. Her professionalism and positive attitude are the key tools that allow her to continually rise above the intricate challenges of healthcare design to deliver comfortable and safe environments.

 

Brian Giebink, AIA, LEED AP BD+C, EDAC, Architect & Behavioral Health Designer, HDR

Brian is a behavioral health planner and architect with HDR. In his role, he has developed a deep understanding of current research and trends in behavioral health design, and strives to push the boundaries of what is possible in behavioral health environments. Brian has served as the behavioral health expert on numerous projects around the world, holding roles in planning, design, and consulting for inpatient, outpatient, community, and educational facilities, guiding project teams toward improved outcomes with innovative, research-based and human-centered design solutions.

Many attendees of The Center for Health Design’s webinars have inquired about IDCEC approval so they can earn ASID, IIDA, and IDS CEU’s. We have looked into this and unfortunately, the cost to upload courses to IDCEC is simply too high at this time. You can still earn credit for attending our webinars by requesting a verification certificate. As of July 9, 2020, The Center for Health Design requires a CEU management fee for verification certificates for all webinars and EBD Journal Clubs.
