As an international award-winning lighting designer, Janelle Drouet has had the privilege to inspire, to heal, and to connect people through lighting design for more than 20 years. Her philosophy — create expressive, sustainable, and inclusive designs relative to the end user. Janelle uses storytelling to develop a cohesive lighting journey while establishing functional, quantitative, and qualitative criteria.
Additionally, Janelle prioritizes knowledge cultivation and sharing, continuously improving her own practice, while supporting the greater design community. Towards this, she has been a contributor to various global lighting standards and industry publications. She also regularly contributes her time as a mentor, instructor, and presenter.
Lauren Schwade, LC, EDAC, IES, Senior Associate, Mazzetti
Lauren Schwade is Mazzetti’s healthcare lighting expert, with more than 16 years of experience and a portfolio filled with notable clients and facilities such as MD Anderson and MSK. With a specialty in healthcare and smart design, she is committed to delivering lighting solutions that meet patient, family and staff needs 24/7, ensuring an environment that is fully conducive to health, wellness, and healing. Lauren is actively involved in advancing her industry. She sits on the IES Healthcare Committee, serves as the Communications Chair within her local Women in Healthcare Chapter and is an affiliate member of The Center for Health Design.
Many attendees of The Center for Health Design’s webinars have inquired about IDCEC approval so they can earn ASID, IIDA, and IDS CEU’s. We have looked into this and unfortunately, the cost to upload courses to IDCEC is simply too high at this time. You can still earn credit for attending our webinars by requesting a verification certificate. As of July 9, 2020, The Center for Health Design requires a CEU management fee for verification certificates for all webinars and EBD Journal Clubs.
