RESOURCES | Flooring and Surfaces

October 2021

In every healthcare setting, a vast multitude of surfaces – floors, walls, counters, ceilings and more – are employed for a wide range of purposes, from safety and infection control, to noise mitigation and the aesthetic patient experience.

To support improved safety and experience for all who use a facility – staff, patients, visitors and others – today’s design, facility and care professionals must advance their understanding of their materials and surface selections and incorporate the best and latest research, tools and design solutions throughout all healthcare settings.
