Welcome to EDAC #3000!
Back in October when we were in Cleveland, Ohio for the Healthcare Design Conference, we were also in the hometown of our 3,000th EDAC certified professional!
Danielle Reisman of Noyes Art Design became number 3,000 to add the EDAC credential after her name and joins an accomplished, committed and global group of passionate professionals with demonstrated skills in applying the process of evidence-based design.
The daughter of a surgeon and an artist, and raised among Cleveland’s renowned healthcare systems and Museum of Art, Danielle’s own career melded the two. After receiving her master’s in art history and museum studies at the University of Denver, she was hired as an art consultant at Noyes Art Design, a firm specializing in curating artwork for healthcare environments. Under the guidance of the firm’s owner and founder Nancy Noyes – also EDAC certified – Danielle has found a practice and culture compatible with her own belief in art’s healing powers and impact on patients, staff and the community.
Danielle’s decision to pursue EDAC certification was driven by a number of factors: an interest in the design and construction processes that precede art selection; in preparation for opportunities to conduct evidence-based studies on the impact of artwork in healthcare settings; and, a desire to contribute to the overall improvement of healthcare design.
Congratulations Danielle! Welcome to the wonderful world of EDAC!
