Discussion: Wellbeing, Balance and Bliss: The Benefits of Biophilia

Biophilia, or biophilic design, supposes that by meaningfully incorporating nature or natural elements into every space we come in contact with, we connect with our innate desire to be close to nature. This connection has been credited with boosting productivity as well as providing health and behavioral benefits, making it both good design and a sound investment.

Join us for a conversation with three unique voices in the biophilic movement hosted by author and UNLV Associate Professor Dak Kopec as we discuss how access to living plants, views of nature, daylight and other biophilic design elements align with our innate human nature and can provide much needed relief in all spaces where we live, work and play, but especially high-stress environments like healthcare.
