A18  - Distilling a Year of Learning
2:00 PM - 4:00 PM

Today health systems face multiple challenges: how to design facilities that can adapt to changes in technology and new care delivery models; how to reduce the time and cost of design and construction; how to reduce the impact on the environment. Each year members of the Built Environment Network (BEN) travel throughout the country to learn and find best practices to help them find answers and solutions to these and other challenges. Attend this session to hear from members of the network about some of the innovative best practices they are doing themselves or saw on these travels, e.g. integrated project delivery, prefabrication and Lean construction, energy management, and designs that address the future.
