RESEARCH, DESIGN & OUTCOMES | 2025 PDC SUMMIT
One in five US adults are affected by mental illness each year, and the demand for mental health services has only increased due to the pandemic, often creating strains on healthcare organizations.
Capacity limitations coupled with staffing shortages, and reimbursement/financial challenges highlight the need for safer and more effective facilities.
This presentation is brought to you by The Center for Health Design’s Behavioral & Mental Health Design Network (BMH-EN) — a multi-disciplinary group of senior executives in behavioral and mental health organizations, architecture and design leaders, and product and service industries with the primary goal of improving behavioral and mental health care environments.
This session provides a collective glimpse into the top challenges and future opportunities for behavioral and mental health organizations that this group has been addressing. These thought leaders will share insights gleaned from their collaborative, content-packed innovation sessions, site visits, and collective experiences. They’ll share the critical issues facing today’s behavioral and mental health providers and describe what innovative solutions they are seeing both nationally and internationally.
