Deb Sheehan, ACHE, LEED AP, EDAC is the leader of Cannon Design’s global Health practice, an integrated design solutions firm providing strategic advisory, design and engineering services to clients worldwide from 17 offices. Deb is a diplomat of the American College of Healthcare Executives, is active on the AIA National Committee on Healthcare Design, was a past committee chair of the Health Executives Forum, and the Women Health Executives Network.  She holds a degree in Architecture from Miami University and is an Honors recipient of the University of Wisconsin Management Master’s Program. 

As Cannon Design’s executive director for its health practice, Deb is responsible for the design and construction of more than $1 billion in healthcare projects, ranging from replacement hospitals for USAID to community hospital expansions. Honored for her evidence-based design approach to planning in competitions sponsored by the Joint Commission, Modern Healthcare and the American Institute of Architects, she has been invited to present and teach at numerous industry forums, including the Joint Commission Resources, the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE), the American Society of Healthcare Engineering (ASHE) and the Strategic Research Institute.  She has written and presented extensively on healthcare planning and design topics to organizations such as Joint Commission International, Sg2, ASHE, and The Strategic Research Institute.
