Hayley Freilich is the Director of Healthcare and Patient Experience at Metcalfe, an architecture and design firm that recognizes the value of play and importance of socialization. When Hayley was born, she was diagnosed with congenital cardiac and pulmonary disease. Her own complex health journey laid a foundation for her empathetic, patient- and family-centered approach to healthcare design. Prior to starting her role at Metcalfe in 2016, Hayley worked for Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia as a project manager, patient-experience advocate, and wayfinding designer. When not in the office, Hayley spends her time having adventures with her family and “kids,” her toy poodle and cat.
