Jesse Thomas Jacob, MD

Jesse Jacob is an infectious disease specialist. He completed his fellowship in infectious diseases at Emory University and joined the faculty of the Emory University Medical School in 2008 as Assistant Professor of Medicine. Now based at Emory University Hospital Midtown, he serves as Hospital Epidemiologist and Director of the Antibiotic Stewardship Program. His research focuses on three areas of healthcare epidemiology: antibiotic optimization, prevention of infection transmission with a focus on the environment, and assessing risk factors and outcomes for infections with multidrug-resistant organisms.
