Linda Dickey, RN, MPH, CIC

Linda Dickey has practiced epidemiology & infection prevention for over 20 years.  Her direct nursing experience is in adult critical care practice.  Linda earned her BS in Nursing from the University of South Carolina and her Master in Public Health from the University of South Florida. 

Linda serves as faculty for the American Society for Healthcare Engineering (ASHE), providing education on infection prevention issues related to the environment of care during design & construction and related to waterborne pathogens.  Since 2007 she has contributed to infection prevention-related review and updates to the Guidelines for Design and Construction of Health Care Facilities, and is currently participating on development of the 2018 editions.  In 2014 she joined the ASHRAE 188 Committee to assisting in finalizing the Legionella standard as it applies to health care, and also serves as a subject matter expert for the Center for Health Design, participating in the development the Safety Risk Assessment, of a method to proactively assess design solutions for potential risks in the built environment. Linda was a contributing author for the 4th Edition of the APIC Text and also to the 2015 APIC Construction Toolkit.
