Which physical design factors should be accorded priority attention to reduce patient falls? This webinar will present the top five factors identified in an experimental study, funded over two phases by the National Patient Safety Foundation and the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality. The first phase of the study identified 26 factors. The second phase involved additional, in-depth data analysis and exploration to identify those factors that present the highest odds of contributing to potential falls. The top five factors identified in the second phase of the study will be will be presented. Potential implications for design and clinical practices will be also be discussed.
