Robert F. Sharrow, AIA, ACHA, EDAC was the Principal for the design team for The Edward-Elmhurst Replacement Hospital. Robb is a Senior Vice President and Principal with Albert Kahn Associates, Inc. in Detroit, Michigan and he has designed major health care facilities throughout the mid-west for over 35 years. His passion is the design of healing environments for improved patient satisfaction, based on credible evidence. He has led projects for Planetree Affiliate Hospitals for over 20 years. His firm is a founding member of the Planetree Visionary Design Network and he served its Vice Chair from 2010 to 2016. His projects include numerous award-winning replacement hospitals, cancer centers, ambulatory care campus projects, medical office buildings. Robb has published articles about health care facility design he has been a speaker at over 20 national and international health care facility conferences.
