The goal for this project was to establish the first separately licensed children’s hospital in the community of El Paso, Texas with an interior environment that is patient-centered, family focused, community accessible, culturally compatible and a magnet for the recruitment of pediatric medical staff.  

The goal for this project was to conduct research that will: identify the needs of cancer patients while undergoing infusion treatment, develop potential environmental design solutions to fulfill the needs, and validate significant environmental design strategies for infusion patient care and satisfaction. 

The goal for this project was to promote the healing process for the patients of Simlow Cancer Hospital by using the evidence-based premise that appropriate art has the power to lower stress, anxiety and pain, as well as increase patient satisfaction through the improved perception of the quality of care delivered.
