A 105 acre master site plan for Grady Memorial Hospital has been completed, which includes a planned village concept with human scale streets and buildings. Construction of the new ambulatory care campus that will serve as Phase 1 of a replacement acute care hospital facility is planned and schematic design is underway. The ambulatory care center will be the newest addition to the OhioHealth system, a regional system of hospitals, home care, and ambulatory sites.
This new outpatient facility will provide Urgent Care, Oncology, Women and Children's Health, Gastroenterology, Sleep Disorders, Lab, Imaging, Orthopedics/Sports Medicine, and Family Health and Wellness Departments. Grady Memorial Hospital is scheduled for groundbreaking in Summer 2007, with an opening set for October 2008. Karlsberger Architects in Columbus, OH is serving as the lead archietctural firm for both the master plan and the building design.
