Dr. Pietrzak is a physician thought leader within medical technology and building science futures and strategic initiatives for the HKS Health Group. Dr. Pietrzak’s focus is on the emerging technologies that will have an impact on design of healthcare facilities in the next decades for operating theaters, imaging and special care units. His emphasis is building a 10 year “technology vision” that will influence design decisions in key areas of hospital design such as operating theaters and special care units. From robotics to advances in imaged guided procedures as well as advanced materials – he combines these emerging technologies with an in depth understanding clinical practice trends, practice culture and financial drivers to optimize operational efficiency, clinical outcomes and safety.
