Has the functional program been making your head spin? Have you wondered why it’s required in the FGI Guidelines? The functional program considers the key components and stakeholders for creating a successful project that meets an organization’s strategic goals and bottom line. Work with members of
The Center for Health Design’s Environmental Standards Council (ESC) to understand how the functional program will help your planning process, not hinder it.
This interactive one-day workshop, will dive deep into the functional program’s intent and purpose through application. Attendees will work in groups to create a functional program for a fictional scenario with guidance from the workshop faculty. The goal of the workshop is for attendees to leave with an understanding of how functional programs are actually generated, as well as the benefit and opportunity a functional program can provide. Additionally, ideas and key considerations that result from this workshop will be incorporated into the work of the ESC towards
recommendations for the 2018 FGI Guidelines.
