IN THE KNOW

The Center Partners with ACEP to Bring Industry Experts to
The Emergency Department Workshop

Location: American Institute of Architects
130 Sutter Street, San Francisco, CA 94104

Date: June 18-19, 2015

Early Bird Registration:  $695.00
After May 15, 2015:  $795.00

Designing a new or renovating an existing emergency department is a high stakes opportunity.  Today, more than ever, emergency department directors balance a range of competing priorities, including;

  • increased volume and patient acuity
  • primary care staffing shortages
  • overcrowding
  • delayed “up-stream” throughput, and other system bottle-necks

These challenges are coupled with the need to continually adapt to ever changing technology, ensure emergency preparedness and deliver in an era of accountable care.

We have partnered with The American College of Emergency Physicians to bring you  nationally recognized experts, who will explore design methodologies, benchmark challenges, and how to quantify and measure those challenges.  Come and explore technological and design innovations along with facility-based solutions. Obtain insight into optimal patient flow, research-based process, design interventions and strategies that improve clinical outcomes, quality of care, and patient safety and satisfaction.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND:

  • ED directors, emergency service physicians, emergency department nurses and managers
  • Healthcare facilities and planning executives
  • Hospital executives with capital investments and emergency department oversight
  • Healthcare architects, planners, designers, and consultants
