Neurodiversity at Boston Children’s Brookline: A Triumph of Patient-Centered Design

How can we transform a potentially challenging clinic or research visit into an uplifting and safe experience? That’s the question at the center of “The Amazing You”—the theme for Boston Children’s Brookline and the new Brain, Mind, and Behavior Center. In this webinar, attendees will hear the story of how a multidisciplinary group including clinicians, neuroscientists, families, patients, and designers teamed up to thoughtfully design an outpatient experience as considered and unique as the neurodiverse population it serves. The team will highlight elements of a cross-disciplinary approach to environmental design where programming, planning, architecture, wayfinding, and interiors all work together to choreograph a uniquely engaging yet calm, safe, patient-centered experience.
