Clinical staff in healthcare environments, and nurses in particular, have long been required to care for patients at the expense of their own well-being. Post-pandemic, they continually demonstrate that they are overwhelmed, experience emotional exhaustion and burn out, and report depersonalization and perceptions of lack of personal accomplishment.
This webinar reviews research that reveals the circumstances leading to this current staffing predicament. Three design professionals with clinical backgrounds will leverage their collective expertise to share insights into clinical workforce issues and will offer design strategies to support clinician respite and resilience.
Additionally, they’ll shed light on the unique needs of the different generational cohorts in the current clinical workforce, and how some design strategies should be targeted while others should be universal. Practical applications and determining return-on-investment for these types of design interventions will be shared.
