The “Why” of Long Term Care

July 2015
Webinar
The Center For Health Design

Many of the discussions on long term care speak to the “who”, the “what”, and the “how” for the creation of long term care environments. However, the “why” question is a summation of these other questions – most of us serve the long term care industry, because we have a passion for the people. The concern for people is the basis for responding to the “why”. It is unfathomable after working in the long term care marketplace for over 25 years, the industry as a whole has not found its tipping point for person-centered change to be the new normal. Most of my colleagues that work on environments for aging, as we discuss our own aging process – admit that even with the incredible progress that we’ve made, there is so much more to do in order to satisfy any of our own personal desires – searching for an acceptable solution to long term care. Please join me in exploring the “why” of senior living.
