David Kamp is a widely published author, speaker and academic whose lifelong interest in the intersection of design and human health has made him an international leader in healthcare and landscape design. A Loeb Fellow at Harvard University, Kamp has researched ergonomics, medical ethics and the effectiveness of nature to positively influence healthcare environments. He is a Fellow at the MacDowell Colony, where he developed a series of prototypical gardens serving individuals with special needs, as well as a Fellow of the American Society of Landscape Architects; he holds an Honorary Fellowship from the University College Falmouth and was elected to the National Academy of Design. Kamp is an active member of many advisory boards and is a cofounder of the Center for Design and Health at the University of Virginia.
