James Lennon, AIA, architect and computer programmer, designed more than $1 billion of health care projects over the last 28 years and has specialized in the design of emergency departments for the last 20 years. He uses computer simulation as an integral element in emergency department design and is a frequent lecturer on emergency department design both nationally and internationally. His concepts have been adopted by the National Health System in the United Kingdom. He created the well respected “Emergency Department of the Future” course at Harvard University. He has worked with institutions such as: University of Pennsylvania, Stanford University, Duke University, University of Kentucky, University of California at San Diego among others.
