As a senior healthcare consultant for HDR, Kathleen Woods brings over 30 years of experience in healthcare delivery and executive leadership. She has expertise in adult and pediatric emergencies, trauma, disaster management, critical and acute care, as well as Behavioral Health and community care navigation.
Kathleen has experience in streamlining new workflows while integrating various IT systems to improve team communication, and enhance the patient and family experience. She has received national recognition for her ability to lead large diverse groups through complex transformational change.
She recently completed a fellowship in patient safety and leadership with the American Hospital Association/ National Patient Safety Foundation (AHA/NPSF). Kathleen has served as a consultant for the Ascension Health System and the New York Presbyterian system, streaming care to improve quality and gain efficiencies. She received the National Gold award for improving the patient experience. Prior to joining HDR, she has provided interim executive leadership to outside firms, serving as a mentor to new leaders.
