Peter Sharpe is Vice President of Irwin P. Sharpe & Associates—a research and market consulting firm specializing in new product development, technology transfer, market research the impact of design interventions on the market. [Peter_IWCS Photo2] The firm has wide experience in the building and construction, materials and architectural and engineering services areas; and conducts research in energy efficiency applications for motors, generators and transformers, electrical distribution systems, lighting and HVAC systems. The firm is actively involved in research and clinical trials related to antibacterial materials for touch surface, potable water distribution and HVAC components; and relating to maintaining cleaner healthcare and environmnetal surfaces.
Mr. Sharpe holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin in biology and chemistry; a Master of Business Administration from Rutgers University; and has worked as a researcher at the Minneapolis VA Medical Center. Peter is on the Center for Healthcare Design’s Advisory Board for their Evidence Based Design and Certification program, and is EDAC certified.
