In the fall of 2015, Children’s National Medical Center embarked on a project to renovate and reimagine their existing sub‐divided child and adolescent behavioral health inpatient unit at their main hospital campus in Washington, DC. This unit was land‐locked by other existing programs, divided in two by a public corridor, and was struggling to find space for all the patients needing care in the immediate catchment. CNMC leadership hired Array Architects to help fulfill their vision for how they wanted to provide care for this special mix of patients while bringing their dated unit up to code and current best practice in behavioral health. This webinar will tell their story and participants will learn how, through a phased project approach, the team allowed for flexibility and growth for the future.
