As Jeff approached graduation from a top 50 medical school, he found himself at a moral crossroads. His journey into medicine started with the desire to live his profession with meaning and purpose. He wanted to dedicate his life to helping people, but was unfortunately left with a different message – treat the body not the person.
He found himself wondering if he should continue on the path to becoming another physician in a broken system or if, maybe, there was a way to help change the system by transforming the way people are treated in a healthcare setting. Not just patients, but doctors, nurses and staff alike.
As Chief Medical Officer at gapingvoid, he is working on just that – bringing empathy back to healthcare by using art to connect people emotionally back to what really matters: relationship, purpose & love.
